The book Free to Choose is an excellent follow up to Capitalism and Freedom or on its own. Follow Milton Friedman as he takes you on a trek across the world, investigating the ramifications of what happens when people are Free to Choose, and when they aren’t. A collaborative effort between Milton and his wife Rose, the book provides not only facts and figures, but real world examples of the wealth producing effects of capitalism at work. In this book, which carries the same name as a mini-series he hosted on PBS, one will find myriad of examples of how freedom has improved peoples lives. He also highlights how lives have been destroyed by well intentioned controls. A must read for anyone needed to know why capitalism and freedom are so important and so intertwined.
